In March 2026, MERCURI Cohort 4 celebrated their graduation in Valencia, receiving four diplomas from four European universities. The event also brought together new cohorts, alumni, and professors for a vibrant networking seminar that showcased the international spirit and opportunities of the MERCURI programme.
From 11–13 March 2026, the MERCURI community gathered at CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia to celebrate yet another major milestone: the graduation of MERCURI Cohort 4.
At the heart of the ceremony was a defining feature of the programme — graduates receiving four degrees/diplomas from four different countries, a powerful symbol of MERCURI’s truly international academic experience.
After an intensive academic journey across partner universities, disciplines, and cultures, the graduates were awarded their diplomas in a ceremony that celebrated not only academic achievement but also collaboration, resilience, and intercultural learning. The moment reflected the unique spirit of the MERCURI programme: studying across borders, learning from diverse perspectives, and building a European academic community.
The celebration was combined with a networking seminar for MERCURI Cohorts 5 and 6**, bringing together current students, alumni, professors, and academic coordinators. Over three days of discussions, mentoring sessions, and informal exchanges, participants explored research ideas, shared experiences of studying within the programme, and strengthened the growing MERCURI network.
For prospective students, MERCURI offers more than a degree. It offers the opportunity to study internationally, earn multiple diplomas, and become part of a dynamic community of researchers and professionals across Europe.
As Cohort 4 joins the expanding MERCURI alumni network, and Cohorts 5 and 6 continue their academic journeys, the CEU Cardenal Herrerra Valencia gathering once again demonstrated what makes MERCURI unique: international collaboration, academic excellence, and a truly European learning experience with friends all over.
